A large and very successful Chinese manufacturer and global supplier of XLPE HV and EHV power cables, has been using the PURITY SCANNER ADVANCED from SIKORA for quality assurance of high voltage cables in their production lines, since 2017. The Chinese company has been ranking among the top 10 competitive enterprises in the cable industry for many years.

Furukawa Electric LatAm S.A. is a specialist for network cables for various applications and one of the largest manufacturers of structured cabling in Latin America. For online quality control, the headquarters located in Curitiba, Brazil, has been using SIKORA’s CENTERVIEW 8000 since 2008, a non-contact measuring system and continuous online measurement of LAN cable.

X-ray based X-RAY 6000 PRO precisely measures the wall thickness
SVAROG, located in Novokuznetsk in Siberia, Russia, is a specialist in the production of rubber high pressure hoses. Since July 2021 the manufacturer has been using the X-ray based X-RAY 6000 PRO from SIKORA for the measurement of the wall thickness, eccentricity and diameter of high pressure rubber hoses during the extrusion process. It is the first device of that kind that has been installed in a rubber high pressure hose production line in Russia. The cooperation between the two companies is based on the demand for precise measurement and automatic inline control to ensure the highest hose quality and optimal processes.

After many trade shows had been cancelled last year due to the Corona pandemic, the starting signal was given again from October 12 to 16, 2021: At Fakuma in Friedrichshafen everything revolved around the plastics industry. SIKORA was represented with a booth and presented innovative measuring, control as well as inspection and sorting technologies to the interested trade audience. With a high number of visitors, the Bremen-based company considers the Fakuma a complete success.

The Bremen-based SIKORA AG is again among the 100 fastest growing medium-sized companies in Germany and improves from rank 18 to rank 10. This is the result of the study “TOP 100 Ranking of medium-sized companies 2021”, which was conducted by the management consultancy Munich Strategy Group. In Bremen, SIKORA is also this year the only company that belongs to the “TOP 100”.

SORTCO GmbH & Co. KG is a specialist for optical and mechanical sorting of shape and color deviations in plastic pellets. In addition, the company offers dust removal and metal separation of plastic raw materials. Since March 2021, SORTCO has been using two PURITY SCANNER ADVANCED systems from SIKORA in its new, state-of-the-art sorting service center in Niederzissen/ Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. With these, the pellets to be sorted are inspected 100 % optically and impurities from a size of 50 µm are automatically sorted out.

SIKORA AG, manufacturer and supplier of innovative measuring, control, inspection, analysis and sorting systems, has expanded its presence in Europe by establishing the new subsidiary SIKORA POLAND, in Lodz, Poland. The new office brings SIKORA’s worldwide presence to 15 subsidiaries.
